A severe fire at Tai Po's Wang Fuk Court has resulted in significant casualties, eliciting profound concern and sorrow from the community. Emperor Group has already provided immediate daily necessities to affected residents through Emperor Foundation, addressing their urgent needs, and will supply new mattresses to nearly 2,000 households as follow-up support. To further assist residents on their long road to recovery, Group Chairman Dr. Albert Yeung and Vice Chairman Mr. Alex Yeung are leading Emperor Entertainment artistes in offering care and support to help the victims through this difficult time.

In support of transitional housing and community rebuilding efforts, Emperor Group has united in this cause. Dr. Albert Yeung donated HKD 10 million through the "Albert Yeung Sau Shing Charity Foundation," while Mr. Alex Yeung personally contributed HKD 1 million. In addition to Nicholas Tse's HKD 5 million donation earlier under the “MGM Chef Nic Gastronomusic Fest 2025” banner, numerous artistes have joined the effort, including Leo Ku, Joey Yung, Hacken Lee, William Chan, Kara Wai, Charlene Choi, Gillian Chung, Irene Wan, Mike Tsang, Ken Hung, Angela Hui, and Mani Fok. The total collective donation has exceeded HKD 20 million.

Furthermore, with the full support of Chairman Dr. Albert Yeung, Gin Lee, who will hold her "GIN LEE LIVE IN HONG KONG 2026" concerts on February 7 and 8 in 2026, will donate the entire proceeds from both shows to support disaster relief and reconstruction. Additionally, the Group has initiated an internal staff donation drive, uniting with the community to support Wang Fuk Court residents.

Dr. Albert Yeung, Group Chairman, expressed: "It is heartbreaking to see countless families lose their homes and loved ones in this devastating fire. I sincerely hope the injured recover swiftly and all those affected can gradually heal and rebuild their lives. I also extend my highest respect to the firefighters, police, medical personnel, and all rescue workers who have been tirelessly involved. 'May the departed rest in peace, and the living find strength.' The road to recovery is long, and we hope this modest contribution, together with public support, can help alleviate the challenges faced by the victims."

Mr. Alex Yeung, Vice Chairman, stated: "We delivered emergency supplies on the next morning to address residents' immediate needs. Through this donation and mobilizing our volunteer team, we hope to do our part in helping Wang Fuk Court residents overcome this crisis, cope with current difficulties, and contribute to community recovery."

Joey Yung shared: "I was deeply shocked and saddened to hear about the Tai Po fire, it reminds us how unpredictable life can be. Having followed the news closely, I extend my heartfelt condolences to the families of the fallen firefighters and those who lost loved ones or homes. I also extend my gratitude to the incredibly brave rescue personnel. I hope the victims can find stability soon and begin rebuilding their lives."

Charlene Choi said: "We are deeply saddened by the severe casualties and destruction caused by this fire. We mourn the firefighters and residents who tragically lost their lives and extend our thanks to the firefighting heroes and frontline responders for their relentless efforts."

Gillian Chung added: "Like all Hong Kong people, my thoughts are with the Tai Po disaster area. May the deceased rest in peace, and the injured recover quickly. I hope all those affected can emerge from this shadow soon and return to normal life."

Gin Lee commented: "Seeing the overwhelming support from the community in recent days has been deeply moving. I'm grateful for Chairman's support in my decision to donate all concert proceeds. I hope this act can rally more support and help alleviate the immense pressure residents face in rebuilding their lives."
